Phantom To Close

It has been announced that the Las Vegas production of Phantom of the Opera is scheduled to close September 2nd of this year. The fact that the show is closing isn't really that big of a surprise considering the current state of the economy. Broadway style show productions are expensive to stage and right now people are cutting back on the number of shows they see as well as looking for half price tickets; so its closure isnt realy a surprise but more surprising is that with the departure of Jersey Boys and the Blue Man Group as well as this closure the "Venetian" will be left without a big show for the moment.
